Tula House was designed by Patkau Architects and built for the Hakai Institute by JToelle Construction. We were brought in to do the precision blasting and rock removal for this ecologically sensitive site preparation.
Pristine moss bluffs, overhanging maple trees, and a sharp drop to the ocean below all had to be taken into consideration. It was paramount that the blasting be completely controlled to protect the natural features of the surrounding terrain.
