Pristine moss bluffs, overhanging maple trees,...7/8″ crushed drain rock, sometimes called clear crush, is a product often requested by local building contractors. It compacts and locks into place over time, while still retaining excellent drainage. Compaction is key for foundational elements of a build to avoid the risk of settling later on, which can potentially lead to cracks in foundations and water ingress.
This product is ideal for use in drain tile and perimeter drains, and works well as a landscaping product. It’s slightly smaller version of the 1 1/8″ crushed drain rock, and easier to shovel.
4″ minus crush creates a solid, gradable surface ready for topping with road crush. Common uses include sub bases of driveways and roads. Great for rough surfacing during construction phases, and before finishing phases.
4″ minus crush is blue basalt that has been blasted, crushed and screened to 4” minus with fines left in for optimal binding and compaction. For best results, compact after application to lock the product together like jigsaw pieces, resulting in a very stable surface.
Good for filling slightly muddy areas under 30 cm / 12” in depth. (Deeper areas should use a coarser product, such as a 5” minus or larger.) If your site is very wet and muddy, we recommend the 5” minus and larger products instead, for better drainage.

Unsorted blast rock is highly functional and the perfect product for cost-effectively filling large areas. It is excellent for creating a weight bearing subsurface, and for traversing very wet areas.
